FX International Interior Design Awards 2010

At last night’s FX International Interior Design Awards ceremony, Seymourpowell picked up a special award for ‘Outstanding Lifetime Contribution to Design’. The prestigious FX Awards invite both British and International design talent from all over the world to enter the very best of interior products and projects. Organised by FX magazine, these coveted awards, and the grand, glamorous ceremony that celebrates them, are a true highlight on the design industry calendar when the great and good come together from across the field.

As part of this year’s awards, a number of special categories were opened up to a public online vote, including that of ‘Outstanding Lifetime Contribution to Design’. According to FX magazine, Seymourpowell was the overwhelming favourite.

On winning the award Richard Seymour commented, “This award is a testament to a lifetime of drive and hard work, and to all of the people, past and present, who have forged our culture of creative excellence – a passion for what we do and a commitment to delivering success. It’s particularly satisfying because we are not typically associated with interiors or architectural business (though we design plane, train and car interiors!); we’re essentially a design and innovation business with a focus on mass produced products – so it’s brilliant to be voted in by fellow designers from a different, but parallel, discipline!”
