Seymourpowell is pleased to announce details of its involvement with The ‘Fabergè Big Egg Hunt’ – a special charity project launched today at 7.30am in Trafalgar Square, and being hosted in London for the next 40 days and 40 nights in association with charities Action for Children and The Elephant Family – the UK’s biggest funder for the endangered Asian elephant.
As part of ‘The Fabergè Big Egg Hunt’, over 200 uniquely crafted eggs created by leading artists, designers, architects and jewellers will be displayed in central London. Seymourpowell is proud to have been selected to design one of the eggs.
Members of the public will be encouraged to hunt and journey through the city, picking up exciting clues along the way for a truly original and interactive Easter experience. The eggs,
which are destined to become highly collectible works of art, will also be available to buy at auction, with proceeds going to the two charities. The jewel in the crown of the auction will be an exclusively designed, stunning 127carat emerald and gold egg pendant ‘Le Collier Plume d’Or’ by Fabergé. The event is set to smash Guinness World Records for the most participants in an Easter egg hunt and the world’s most expensive chocolate egg, as designed by William Curley!
Seymourpowell’s uniquely crafted egg is named the ‘eneggmatic’ egg – so named as it’s coated in special thermochromic aubergine paint that when heated up to 22°C, turns white to reveal
handwritten messages underneath. Viewers can place their hands onto the egg or even throw a cup of warm water over the surface to reveal the concealed messages. As soon as the egg
drops below 22°C, it will return to its original aubergine colour. Those who search hard enough will find a hidden message containing a riddle.
Seymourpowell’s egg is being sponsored by leading broadcast network UKTV.
UKTV’s Executive Director, Business & Operations, Julia Jordan said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring the Seymourpowell egg, and supporting two exceptional charities through our involvement with this initiative. ‘The Fabergè Big Egg Hunt’s’ tagline ‘hatching change’ ties in perfectly with our core cultural value ‘be inventive’, and our choice of egg epitomises our
creative approach to reaching out and sharing our content interactively with our audiences.”
The Fabergè Big Egg Hunt kicks off today, Shrove Tuesday. Expect to see egg designs from the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Sir Ridley Scott, Zandra Rhodes, Faberge and Diane von
Furstenburg.

About Elephant Family
Elephant Family is the world’s leading Asian elephant conservation charity. Founded in 2002 we are active in five countries and have invested over £5 million into their conservation.
In the past 100 years, the population of the Asian elephant has plummeted by 90%. Without action this iconic animal of global importance may cease to exist in the wild by 2050. Elephant
Family is racing against the clock to address their major threats which include massive habitat loss, poaching and human encroachment. Best known for Elephant Parade London 2010, we are racing against the clock to raise funds and awareness before it is too late.
